Eden's on campus presents their Anime Detour Japanese feast

Eden's on campus is a student run dining room, and for the spring 2015 semester is serving 8 - course dinners for about $36 a seat, at the price includes the wine served for each course. Here is what Chef John (their teacher) has to say about the dinner this week:

Cherry trees are about to blossom and Anime Detour - the Japanese popular culture convention - is about to begin, so Eden's On Campus offers an eight-course celebration of Japanese cuisine. Some dishes will be traditional, some modern, some shameless.

Here is the menu

Anime Detour Japanese Feast

Amuse-Bouche

Takoyaki with Kewpie-style mayo and Okonomiyaki sauce

Appetizer

Gyoza-style pot stickers with pork, daikon radish and cabbage

Salad

Mixed Seaweed salad with Tsukemono and Wafu dressing

Soup

Miso Cha-su Ramen with Quail Egg

Fish

Salmon and Oyster Motoyaki

Palate Cleanser

Lychee Ginger Sorbet

Meat

Deconstructed Sukiyaki with Daikon & Purple Sweet Potatoes

Dessert

Azuki and Green Tea Mochi Ice Cream

Bread

An-Pan, Melon-Pan & Curry-Pan

Further information about the courses, as well as any pictures taken by the students will be posted on the Facebook page as well.

The location is the Eden's on Campus dinner room at the Eden Prairie Hennepin Technical College, which is at 13100 Collegeview Drive, Eden Prairie, MN 55347, about 11 minutes away by car from the convention.

The times of the dinners are Thursday March 26 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Friday March 27 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The maximum number of people that can accommodated each night is 40-45, and they have accommodated as much as 15 people per reservation in the recent past.
